This role requires exceptional multitasking skills, some HR capabilities and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
Shaping Impact: Your Key Responsibilities:
- Collect and verify employee timekeeping data.
- Process maintenance requests including new hires, address changes, rate changes, and tax withholding updates in Sage 300.
- Review payroll information for accuracy and ensure all relevant paperwork is complete.
- Perform all essential functions required to process weekly payrolls in an accurate and timely manner.
- Remit payroll reporting data to operations and accounting teams.
- Process union reporting.
- Update voluntary and involuntary deductions such as direct deposit, benefit deductions, and/or garnishments.
- Ensure compliance with union CBA agreement(s).
- Occasional travel to our other location.
- 3 – 5 years proven experience as Payroll Specialist with union experience.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Problem-solving skills and proactive mindset.
- Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time at a computer.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities.
- High level of professionalism and integrity.
